Android save compatibility
The dev warns Android users to start fresh from Chapter 1 rather than carrying old saves into the latest build. A required Android-side change broke save compatibility, so loading an old save will most likely produce errors. Restarting takes time but is the only path that works cleanly.
A 3DCG thriller-mystery visual novel with a supernatural spine and heavy story focus. Three years after a tragic incident, you return to your hometown. Just before you reach it, you watch two supernatural forces tear into each other in a fight to the death. They notice you. They overpower you. And then you wake up in your bed as if nothing happened.
Everyday life goes on whether you want it to or not. The town feels unfamiliar, unexplainable events stack up, and the people you care about start ending up in danger. The central question the game pulls on: what boundaries are you willing to cross, and is it worth giving up your humanity to protect what is left?
Berkili4 builds Companion of Darkness as a choice-driven story-first VN, currently mid-arc on Season 2 (Chapter 12). Tags lean supernatural, superpowers, monster girl, harem, female and male domination, exhibitionism, voyeurism, prostitution, pregnancy, virgin, graphic violence, with a male protagonist. Season 2 Chapter 12 is the current free public build on itch.io; Patreon and SubscribeStar backers fund continued development.
