A choice-based Ren'Py visual novel wrapped around an unusual sci-fi conceit. You're moving to Kredon, a college town in the near future, alongside your best friend. Kredon's obsession is Eternum: a virtual MMORPG so neurologically realistic that logging out stops feeling meaningful. Magic-soaked fantasy servers, fog-drenched sci-fi cities, anything anyone can dream of, all stitched together into a network of thousands of worlds.
Behind the marketing facade, Eternum runs darker than any official literature admits. Black markets, illegal content trafficking, data theft, even torture. The game's rules are nobody's, and no government has the appetite or the cleanness to regulate it. Some say it's the addictive design. Others say there's something deeper going on. Your role in figuring it out is what the player decides.
Caribdis leans into the comedy, mystery and romance triangle most adult visual novels chase. The writing is unusually tight, the cast is varied, and the pacing alternates between school-life beats, romance routes, and the slow unravelling of what Eternum actually is.
