The Gooner Games is a platform for free games. For Straight!?, the download links simply point to the developer's own public files, wherever they are: itch.io pages, free Patreon builds, the developer's official site, and other public sources. We do not host, repackage or modify any download.

Which version to play?
Two builds of Straight!? exist on the itch.io download page:
- Revamp (recommended for new players) : the current active rewrite. Better graphics, tighter writing, full soundtrack. Does not yet cover the whole story but the quality is substantially higher.
- V0.021.4 (rough draft) : the complete original story, finished in 2022. Quality starts rough and improves as it goes. No longer being updated, will be retired once the Revamp catches up.
If you want the full story right now, the rough draft has it all. If you want the polished introduction, start with the Revamp.
A slow-burn cinematic visual novel focused on NSFW male/male content. You play Zack, a 19-year-old starting his first day of college, who meets his new roommate Braden (18). Zack tells himself he is comfortable with his attraction to guys, but the story slowly reveals he is not. As the two grow closer, both have to confront their own feelings about sexuality, attraction, labels, and what those mean for who they are.
Aaryn writes from a psychology background, treating the relationship as a template for how to communicate in real relationships and how someone might work through their own sexuality issues. The primary focus is on dialogue and character development rather than rushing to NSFW scenes. Players commonly report starting with intent to skip to the sex and ending up invested in the cast. The NSFW content exists, but it serves the story.
Two versions coexist on this download page: the original rough draft (complete in 2022, progressively improves in writing and visual quality as it goes) and the Revamp, the active rewrite with better art, writing, and soundtrack. The plan is for the Revamp to become the final version once it catches up; the rough draft will then be retired. Released free here, $5 Patreon backers get updates three weeks early.
