A fantasy adult visual novel built around a single dramatic premise: magic is dying. Across the world of Eorþe, fewer and fewer are born with the Affinity, and where once every human, elf and orran could wield it, only a handful in each of the six Great Families still develop the ability. Two of those, in fact: Cymhen Grym and Cyril Cenric. Unknown to almost everyone, a third lives in secret, in hiding from the intrigue and exploitation of the Families. That is you.
When Cymhen's hand is forced, your old mentor seeks you out and offers you a place with the Grym family in exchange for helping investigate what is killing the Affinity. Sudo_nim does not hide the fact that under all the worldbuilding, The Nature of Magic is really about found family, support and acceptance: there are laughs, there are tears, and there is a lot of romance and intimacy threaded through the fantasy spine.
Visuals are 3DCG with animated scenes. Tags cover romance, harem, dating sim, monster girl, milf, virgin, fantasy, humour, lesbian and a steady drip of HHH (hugs, handholding, headpats), with confident, complex, emotionally mature women at the centre of every route. Part 3 is the current free public build on itch.io; Patreon and SubscribeStar backers fund continued development.
