Cast
Alex (lead): just finished medical school, moved to a new city, started his residency. Overworked and starting to question whether this is really the life he wants, until his boss orders him to take a night off and 'get off'.
Nick (secondary POV): a little older than Alex. Works as a detective for the city police, moonlights as a vampire hunter. Where Alex is the naïve newcomer to the supernatural, Nick is the jaded veteran. Parts of the story are told from his perspective with RPG-style dialogue and interaction choices.
Six core romanceable characters round out the cast: the two human protagonists plus a vampire, a werewolf, and two supporting roles.
Bound by Night is an adult gay VN set in a modern world that looks just like ours, except vampires and werewolves are real, and the lore around how they came to be (and what they're capable of) unfolds slowly as the story goes. Alex, the lead, has just finished medical school and is about to learn most of this the hard way.
The game runs on dominant / submissive routes that evolve across chapters, weaves psychological horror into the erotic scenes, and gives you six core romanceable characters: two human protagonists, a vampire, a werewolf, and two supporting roles. Patron-sponsored characters bolt on top of that cast.
