Enzai - Falsely Accused drops you into Napoleonic-era France, where the Revolution may have rewritten the laws but the prisons stayed exactly the same. Guys, a young street kid surviving on petty theft, gets pulled off the street one morning, dragged in front of a dishonest judge, and convicted of a murder he never committed. Life without parole.
The prison is its own world of violence and betrayal. The dev frames Guys' arc as a slow uncovering of the conspiracy that put him there, with help coming from unlikely places: an alcoholic lawyer, half-mad men in nearby cells, and one line that runs through the whole VN: 'I just want to be free.'
