The Gooner Games is a platform for free games. For Kobold Adventure, the download links simply point to the developer's own public files, wherever they are: itch.io pages, free Patreon builds, the developer's official site, and other public sources. We do not host, repackage or modify any download.
Are you the developer and want this page removed or fixed? Two easy options: use our DMCA page, or just email contact [at] thegoonergames.com with proof you are the dev and tell us what to change. No paperwork needed, we will edit or remove it, no questions asked.
For visitors: every download link goes straight to the original file on its original host. We add nothing, change nothing, and inject nothing along the way.
Developer Notes
Downloadable versions will always lack the latest hotfixes and typo corrections. Playing the game online is highly recommended. In terms of browsers, Chrome and Firefox are both supported, but Chrome will generally offer prettier results. Click the easy-to-miss menu button in the bottom left corner of the game's UI for a bunch of important stuff, including settings and character sheets and a massive map showing almost all of the available choices in the game. Music is enabled, but muted by default. Click the crossed out speaker icon in the bottom left to unmute it. Saves are kept in localstorage, so if you wipe your browser data, you lose your progress. You can export save games and store them as files, to make sure you won't lose anything apart from milestone progress.
You play a kobold thief who dreams of becoming a knight, in a medieval fantasy world where pretty much everyone hates kobolds on sight. The story opens with a successful heist from a crooked tax-collection transport, and from there the CYOA structure lets the rest of your run go just about anywhere: enslaved, ennobled, in love, dead in a gutter, your call.
Kobold Adventure by TinkeringTurian is a long-running furry text-based CYOA with hand-drawn 2D illustrations, multiple endings, and a content scope deep enough that updates ship by named arc (the current one is Stormbrew). Plays directly in the browser or as a standalone download. Tinkeringturian's other game is Bedabots.
