Brian's mother dies of an illness she hid from him. His father starts drinking heavily, then one night the cops show up and tell Brian his father will not be coming back soon. He needs to stay with a relative.
Digging into what really happened gets him nowhere. Then Phill, his high school principal, offers to put him up for a while. The arc that follows is built on bad choices that slowly steer back to something better.
The player's job: find out why Brian's father is in prison, and untangle the secrets the rest of the cast has been sitting on the whole time.
